Redondo Beach

Welcome to Redondo Beach

Redondo Beach’s nostalgic charm and beachfront properties appeal to homebuyers of all ages.

Beach living in the South Bay doesn’t get better than Redondo Beach. This historic coastal city is located twenty miles south of Downtown Los Angeles on the southern edge of the Santa Monica Bay, bordered by Torrance to the east and Hermosa Beach to the north. One of the best cities in California for young professionals and to raise a family, this laidback city is ideal for all walks of life. More than half of all Redondo Beach residents own their homes, while 45% rent. With little road noise from traffic and plenty of green areas to get outside, Redondo Beach is an idyllic place to call home.

Nostalgic Redondo Pier is a recognized landmark in the South Bay, and it’s a hot spot for seaside restaurants and shopping. Fine dining and casual eateries both find homes in Redondo Beach. Bettolino Kitchen puts a modern twist on traditional Italian cuisine. Handmade pasta, decadent desserts, and a selection of specialty dishes including braised pork chop with pear risotto and parmesan-crusted chicken with couscous. The Hook and Plow is a locally owned restaurant dedicated to crafting fresh ingredients into irresistible meals with California style. They’re serving up craft beers from California artisans, rustic dishes with elegant plating, and they’re always happy to see you for happy hours from 3 to 6 P.M. during the week. For upscale Vietnamese fusion, Little Sister is a longtime local favorite. Their menu notably mixes Asian cuisine with French cooking styles and includes Danish and British colonial influences. Stop by Riviera Village for brunch Rebel Republic Social House before spending the afternoon perusing luxury and local retailers.

Traditions are important here, and one of the most notable is the Redondo Beach Lobster Festival, which has happened annually for over 20 years. Every fall, lobster lovers flock to Seaside Lagoon for small plates of lobster delicacies, local beer, and craft cocktails, as well as live music each night. On Thursday mornings, drop by the Redondo Beach Farmers Market to pick up locally grown produce, fresh-cut flowers, and baked goods. To experience Redondo Beach’s rich history firsthand, stop by the Morrell House, a turn of the century Queen Anne-style homestead.

Education is held to high standards in Redondo Beach, and Riviera Hall Lutheran School is a top-ranking private Christ-focused school that has been serving the community since 1952.
